The Place on the Bay, situated along the beach-front road enjoys an undisturbed picturesque view of the white sandy beaches, the palm fringed bay and the majestic Twelve Apostle Mountains. The hotel is perfectly positioned in Cape Town`s trendiest suburb, Camps Bay.

KLEINE ZALZE LODGE
The stylishly decorated 47 rooms and suites of the lodge are set alongside the first fairway of the championship ‘De Zalze Golf Course’. The clubhouse is just on the other side of the Blauwklippen and within walking distance.
The rooms enjoy breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch Mountains and are surrounded by 120 hectares of vineyards. Guests can enjoy a full or continental breakfast overlooking the first green while being shaded by old oaks.
Accommodation is available in a variety of units: two bed roomed family suites, one bed roomed suites, superior rooms and standard rooms.
Although the lodge offers all the comforts associated with a four star facility, the rooms are available with kitchens or kitchenettes, complete with microwave, and cutlery and crockery for those who prefer to self-cater.

Upon arrival in Cape Town you will collect your rental car and drive to Camps Bay. We recommend a Nissan X-trail or similar which has space for 4 adults, luggage and golf bags.

In the morning play your holiday’s first 18 holes of golf at South Africa’s oldest golf course – Royal Cape GC.
After lunch at the club (own cost) see if you can improve your score as you play another 18 holes.

Day at leisure. Suggested activities:
Travel by cable car to the top of Table Mountain – 1084 metres above sea level. From here you get wonderful views over the city, the ocean and the mountains in the distance. Cableway is closed if there is bad weather or strong winds. A return ticket currently costs R160pp.
A trip to Robben Island is also a recommended activity. The island is most famous for having been a prison island and its most famous inmate was Nelson Mandela who spent most of his 27 years of jail life on the island. The tour departs from the Waterfront, lasts approximately 3½ hours and currently costs R180pp.

Todays golf challenge can be found at the friendly Clovelly GC, near Fish Hoek, approx 45 minutes from Camps Bay. Play a morning and an afternoon round of golf.

Breakfast followed by checkout.
Drive to Stellenbosch. Approx 45 – 60 minutes from Cape Town. Here you can visit some of South Africa’s most famous vineyards and sample the fine wines.

Today you will play 18 holes in the morning and another 18 holes in afternoon at the beautiful De Zalze GC, which is located on the outskirts of Stellenbosch.

The popular Stellenbosch GC provides the days golfing challenge. Play 18 holes in the morning and then another 18 holes in the afternoon.

Drive to Knysna, which is approximately 500km East of Stellenbosch and the trip should take approximately 6 hours. Arrive in the afternoon.

Today you play 18 holes in the morning followed by 18 holes in the afternoon at the stunning Jack Nicklaus designed Simola GC. The course is located in the hills above Knysna and you are afforded views of Knysna and its beautiful lagoon.

Your trips final rounds of golf will be played at the spectacular Pezula GC, situated on Knysna’s Eastern Head and is one of South Africa’s most photographed golf courses. 36 holes in the day.
